Mortgage Interest Negotiations
January 8th, 2009 8:39 PM
Finally Congress has come up with a good idea.  They are working on a bill which would allow home owners to renegotiate the terms of their mortgage instead of going into foreclosure.  This is good news for everybody including home owners, loan institutions, and everybody involved in the housing market.

Has the real estate market hit it's low?
January 6th, 2009 7:43 PM
I would be afraid to make any prediction like that.  I can say ,though, that I have received more inquiry calls from serious home buyers in the first few days of 2009 than in the last 2 months of 2008. Those buyers must think so. This is of course a case of the most unscientific pole and does not represent the opinion of Jim Pry or Gammon Realty.

Is it time buy your new home?
December 3rd, 2008 7:28 PM
Prices of  homes have fallen significantly from a year ago.  Interest rates have also fallen and one can get a 30 year loan for 5.5%.  I would not dare to predict if home prices will go up or down from here, or what interest rates will do.  I do know however that by time you turn on a TV News program and hear a so called expert tell you it is time to buy the bargains will be gone.

What can be done about those high utility bills?
July 14th, 2008 8:00 PM
With the ever increasing cost of energy many home owners are having to make hard choices between paying their ulitility bills, mortgages, or food bills. We, as Americans, must look for alternative energy sources or go broke. Wecansolveit.org has many good ideas on how we can do that. Check them out by clicking here.

Applying for a home loan
July 14th, 2008 12:25 PM
This can be a harrowing experience.  It is not just important to choose the right loan company, but also the right loan officer within the company. Choosing a bad company can result in a bad result.  There are a lot good loan officers, but there also some not so good ones too.  Three good ones in  Southwestern Indiana are Joe Salpietra at Star Mortgage, Sherri Scott at 5th 3rd Bank , and Christi Evans at Integra Bank. You can get in touch with any of these loan officers by clicking on there company

What is your home worth?
June 16th, 2008 11:26 AM
With a steady diet of seemingly bad news about the housing market coming from the national media people could become panic struck.  The good news is that here in Southwestern Indiana home prices did not rise as rapidly as some of the so called hotspots in the nation. Therefore they have not fallen as much either. If you live in Southwestern Indiana and want to know what you home is worth, just email me ar call me at 812-204-1633.  I will be happy to give you a free Comparative Market Analysis.
